Oak Run Computer Club meetings are held at 9 AM on the third Wednesday of each month in the Orchid Club Auditorium. Notices regarding programs and classes are found in the ORCC Newsletter, Decca Monthly Newsletter and on Decca Cable Channel 12.

Non-members may direct E-MAIL inquiries regarding our Club to the Executive Board. Members may direct technical questions to our chartered expert.

COMPUTER CLASSES - NEW INFORMATION

Announcement: Beginners Class for September.

~~~~Enrollment for the Fall 2008 Session of the Beginner's Class is Open.~~~~

The class will be held Sept. 22, 24, 26 & 27 at 9:00-10:30 am in the Card Room of the Orchid Club.   There are now THREE persons enrolled.  We require at least SIX to make setting up, etc, practicable, so if you are interested or know someone (non-members OK) who might be, please pass this along.   To enroll, call Jim Dillman @ 845-0050 or e-mail to jdill26@gmail.com.

Classes can accomodate only twelve.  If you would like to register for the September Classes ( 9/22, 24, 26 & 27), e-mail Jim Dillman  with your name, phone and e-address to be placed on the list.

Several of ORCC's resident computer enthusiasts have decided to start a new group within our club for those members interested in the various and sundry LINUX operating systems now available as OPEN SOURCE distributions for their desktop computers. That means the Operating Systems are FREE for the download from many places. We are going to call this group the 'ORLUG'.... "Oak Run Linux Users Group". We are soliciting for ORCC club members that might be interested in attending a start-up meeting in the near future, depending upon how many indicate an interest. As ORCC members, there will be NO DUES or drawings at the ORCCLUG meetings
